Equine Science Club

Hands-on educational horsemanship for all horse lovers!

Mahogany Bay Farm's Equine Science Club will enhance your un-mounted equine knowledge. It is designed for all horse lovers who wish to learn more about our equine friends through hands-on educational horsemanship.

 Each class focuses on a specific equine related topic. Previous topics include: taking horse vital signs and determining equine body condition score, leg anatomy and wrapping legs, carrot stretches including the muscles they affect, the benefits, and how to perform them, tack fitting and parts of the tack. 

Future topics include: parasite control and deworming, hoof care and thrush, effective stable management practices, equine first aid, winter horse blanketing, and horse diseases including colic- what is it, signs to look for, what to do, and prevention.

 Please join us once a month at the farm for these 1.5 hour classes on Saturdays. The cost for each class is $35 . Please contact us to reserve your spot. Space is limited!
